I have been interested in photography for years but I have only been using a point-and-shoot and an iPhone. I have been wanting a DSLR camera for the last few years but it didn't land on the priority list until I graduated from college this spring. Just recently we decided we really want a new camera before our wedding and before our honeymoon to Europe. On Black Friday we order the Canon Rebel SL1 from Amazon and yesterday it was delivered! I am already amazed by what a difference using a "real camera" makes and pretty much want to go back to every single place I have visited and take new pictures with out new camera.
Last night we decided to try out photographing the moon, something that is nearly impossible with a point-and-shoot or an iPhone. In order to compare the two, we also took a picture of the moon on my iPhone.
